FAT GRAFT: TO IMPROVE CONTOUR DEFORMITY
Procedure: Improving the contour deformity caused by previous surgery, liposuction, infection and trauma without the use of major surgery.
Length: 1-2 hours
Anesthesia: Local or local with sedation
In/Outpatient: Usually outpatient
Technique: The fat is harvested from the flanks or lower back using a syringe liposuction, processed under high speed centrifugation and transferred to the contour deformity. It acts as a natural filler to restore contour of the deformity.
Side Effects: Temporary bruising, swelling, and tight feeling.
Back to work: 7 to 14 days.
To do more strenuous activities: 2 weeks or more
Bruising: 1 to 2 weeks. Must limit exposure to sun for several months.
